Dive Shop LocationsThe first Wannadive shop is located on Eden Beach and offers access directly from the beach.As a full service operation, it provides PADI instructors, rental, large gear storage room, retail and repair. It also offers a drive through for tanks. With a unique dive spot, Eden Beach provides a reef containing three wrecked boats that provide an excellent diving excursion.
Located at City Café in front of the Town Pier, the second dive shop is also a full service operation offering PADI instructors, rental, sales, storage, repair and rinse basins. The Town Pier, known as the top spot for night diving on Bonaire reflects colorful surroundings and is a must for underwater photography.
HotelThe Wannadivehut is a small hotel owned by the dive operation.Providing accommodations along with a full service operation is a great way to explore Bonaire’s world renowned underwater world. With a drop off for tanks, rinse basins, lockers and showers, the staff located at the Wannadivehut makes organizing your dive a simple task.
Instructors and Their CertificationsOwner Roeland Labots, from the Netherlands, is more often known as “Bob” on the island.As a multilingual PADI instructor and being familiar with the dive sites on Bonaire makes him the natural dive guide. His love for diving is what continues to bring repeat customers back again and again.
Owner Bart Snelder, also from the Netherlands and multilingual, is a PADI instructor and an SSI 5000 platinum pro. Having been diving professionally on Bonaire he is very involved with nature conservation groups and co-founder of the foundation to preserve Klein Bonaire. Managing other dive operations on the island has allowed Bart to understand what makes a good operation work and is reflected in the growth of the company to three dive shops. Jeffrey, as a professional chef working nights, began diving during the day. After volunteering to work at the City dive shop, he worked on getting his PADI instructor certification and began working as a full time instructor.
Fred, from Belgium, discovered his love of diving while a student at this very location. After earning his open water certificate he continued to learn more and more. Deciding to become an instructor, Fred passed his divemaster test and began to work as a PADI dive instructor in 2006.
While Andy comes from the U.K. and is an IDC Staff instructor, he specializes in over 15 or so dive courses. His love of diving combined with his expert knowledge makes him an ideal instructor and is in the process of trying to improve his Dutch while teaching his co-workers proper London English.
Mieke comes from Holland and manages the Wannadivehut. Having gotten hooked on diving, she recently became a divemaster. Her expertise is diving at the Salt Pier and can answer just about any question you have making her the perfect guide.
Boat and EquipmentWith a powerful 29’ Privateer, Renegade, dive sites and Klein Bonaire are no longer than 10 minutes away.Equipped with a cabin, ladder, oxygen and all other necessary items and gear, the boat makes up to five trips daily and holds up to 10 divers. EQUIPMENT Having three separate operations on Bonaire provides convenience for every diver with full use of all Wannadive operations, regardless of where your staying. With a special I.D. Card, obtaining your tanks is as easy as dropping them off and getting new ones. In addition, Nitrox is also available at all three locations.
