Kid Friendly

There is the Sand Penny Club for ages 3-6, provides supervised arts and crafts, beach, video, pool time and sand sculpting.

The SunRise, a cafe’ style restaurant located next to the pool, is open for lunch and dinner and serves an American Classic flare of hamburgers, sandwiches and salads.

Next door to the resort is the Reef Restaurant, which is not only available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it also provides a pre-order dinner for those flights that will be arriving after closing.

The Reef offers a continental cuisine with plenty of choices of fresh catch and Italian dishes.

Every Monday night the Reef offers a BBQ Buffet complete with chicken, ribs, fish, baked beans and salad, be sure to stay a while and listen to the live music.

Rooms at the Sand Dollar

With the “kid friendly” theme, it is said they are the largest on the island and all offer private porches or balconies and full beach view.

Each unit is also equipped with a full kitchen, air conditioning in the bedrooms, large living area, cable TV, WI-FI and in room safe.

While the studios and one bedroom units feature one queen size bed and one queen size sofa bed, the unit sleeps four. Each two bedroom unit provides one king bed and one queen size sofa bed and sleeps four, while the three bedroom unit includes one king size bed, one queen size bed, two twin beds and one queen size sofa bed.

The unit is also equipped with three bathrooms.

Each room has an airy, Caribbean style feel that offers enough space to accommodate the size of your party.

Diving at the Sand Dollar

There are even three separate children’s program available, and the entire family can participate together.

The Bubblemaker offers children 8 years and older instruction in breathing underwater.

While the SASY (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth) program begins as young as 5 years, allows uninterrupted breathing while floating on the water.

For the older children, beginning at 10 years of age, the Junior Level Scuba Diving Course provides instruction complete with certification.

Although some restrictions apply, the instructor will go over the requirements prior to taking the course.

As the Dive and Adventure Program visits such sites as “Rappel”, “Forest” and “Yellowman Reef”, the resort provides five 1 tank scuba trips daily.

With the expertise provided by the staff, advanced divers will enjoy advanced courses and freedom to dive while still enjoying a family outing.

If your a beginner or advanced diver, the Sand Dollar offer scuba packages to suit everyone in your party.
