Flamingo Airport Bonaire

The Bonaire International Airport, also known as the Flamingo Airport Bonaire, is a great asset to the island. From 2005 to 2006, the number of passengers who used this airport increased 3.87% from 552,417 passengers in 2005 to 573,792 passengers in 2006.

This is nothing like some of the airports we have! It is a breeze to get in and out of.

You will be out of the airport and in your hotel in Bonaire before you know it.

AAHHH...Your vacation has offically begun!

Bonaire Flamingo Airport Flamingo Airport generates quite a bit of revenue for Bonaire, and does a wonderful job of providing amazing service for everyone who flies in or out of it.

It's small, quick and very friendly. As soon as you land you will realize how friendly the native people of Bonaire are, and that they are truly Happy to have you as a guest on their island.

But...before you get to the Flamingo Airport, you definitely should know about the new taxes and fees with landing and taking off at the airport.

First, if your final destination is Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba, or Aruba, you will pay 12.50 ANG (or $7 USD).

Any other destination requires a fee of 60.10 ANG (or $34 USD), but children under two years old do not have to pay this fee.

I know, you want to begin your vacation, but here are a few more things you should know about Bonaire.

An important thing you need to know about your flight home are custom regulations.

Visitors, who are over the age of 15 years, are allowed to bring up to 400 cigarettes, 50 cigars, 250 grams of tobacco, two liters of distillate beverages, and two liters of wine through customs.

That does not include the personal items you brought on vacation.

I love to shop for souvenirs!!
