Is Bonaire scuba diving something your interested in learning about?

Bonaire is a top dive location because of its pristine and beautiful reefs, enormous variety of fish and other marine life, and the ease of diving (but let’s not forget the amazing underwater views, sunsets, and eco-friendly manner).

Before hitting the water, every diver in Bonaire must attend a dive orientation and obtain a marine park tag.

The marine park tag will cost you $25 USD, but is valid for one year from the purchase date.

These two things are required for the safety and to prevent damage to the beautiful, fragile reefs and marine life.

Because these requirements make it legal to dive in Bonaire, be sure to make your reservations with the center and give the appropriate time for the orientation.

So, why would you choose Bonaire to host your scuba vacation? Well, Bonaire is one of the top four diving sites in the world.

In fact Bonaire scuba diving is the reason most vacationers come to the island.

Bonaire holds this amazing title for many reasons.

First, the waters are maintained, managed, and protected by a marine park in Bonaire.

This marine park is also responsible for educating divers.

Second, the water is amazing in Bonaire.

As far as temperature, the amazing waters are on average 78º-84ºF, which is perfect for scuba or sunning on any hot, dry day.

For the underwater photographer, the visibility of the water is typically 100 feet.

Want to try try your hand at underwater photography?

You can find any web sites that sell waterproof camera bags to accommodate any depth, camera, or purpose.

How's this for a great photo of diving in Bonaire.

Bonaire is a paradise for scuba and the little island is prepared for any accident that can happen while diving.

So if you worry about medical care on the island, have no fear while you dive here. Bonaire is the home to the Caribbean’s best staffed recompression chambers, which is located near the San Francisco Hospital Emergency Room.

The recompression room is used by the hospital and any emergency staff, but they are the most well-trained staff in the Caribbean for these types of emergencies.

Bonaire is also home to the world’s first permanent underwater reef cam.

Bonaire Web cams allow you to visit their web site to view the underwater cameras and also get up-to-date forecasts and current conditions of the water before taking a dive.
