Renee Snorkel Trips Bonaire

If you ask anyone on Bonaire to recommend a snorkel guide you will get the same answer, Renee.

While several dive operations offer snorkeling packages, Renee's is the only operation on the island that caters only to snorkelers.

Having been an underwater guide in Bonaire since 1991 with her background in biology makes the adventure that much more exciting when you hear her trademark “Yoo-Hoo” as she points out a rare find.

Offering flexibility in times, and accepting tours by appointment only, Renee will accommodate one to five snorkelers for guided tours and after getting an understanding of your desire concerning location or seeking a specific marine species, she will design the perfect excursion to meet your needs.

Her love of the sport is easy to see as her greatest joy comes from watching a child or someone new discover the beauty and splendor for the first time.

As she exudes enthusiasm, each person involved in the tour, rather it is their 1st or 100th time, draw on that to find themselves seeing things in a different light. It is her personal service that draws customers back, as over 50% of her customers are repeat visitors.

Before each trip, Renee orientates her guests by giving a complete briefing including things they will see including a description of fish and coral.

In addition, she explains about the turtle nesting time and the smaller turtles that still live in the waters in Bonaire.

Snorkeling Tips

For first time snorkelers the different breathing pattern is the hardest thing to learn; however, after a few practice sessions it will seem like you have been doing it forever.

While the density of the salt water causes you to stay at a higher level, the idea of snorkeling is to float on top. If being able to float is a problem, there are special vests with floatation devices that will resolve that.

With the shallow, calm waters even the practices sessions will offer sights of the magnificent coral reefs just off shore.

Snorkeling Sites

With over 86 named snorkel sites on Bonaire, the choices are endless as each one has its own extraordinary view.

With Renee Snorkel Trips you will get a customized excursion that can include such famous sites as Ol’ Blue, Hilma Hooker and Alice in Wonderland to name a few.

Since there is no age limits to snorkel, the entire family can experience a trip and with a camera, capture photos to last a lifetime.

Renee also offers night snorkeling which provides an entirely different experience. Using a flashlight to guide you, marine life not present during daylight hours will just be awakening.

With its amazing coral reefs and fluorescent fish of all colors, it can produce the same feeling as swimming in a giant aquarium. It is said the pier in downtown Kralendijk is the best place on the island for viewing nighttime underwater wonders.
