Bonaire Horseback Riding
The Riding Academy Club
Bonaire Horseback Riding is not what you think of when the island comes into mind.
The island, located in the Netherland Antilles of the Caribbean is well known for its cultivation and protection of nature and resources.
With number one awards for dive and snorkeling, fishing and coral reefs, this small island paradise has almost every island activity imaginable.
With just as much fervor placed in the enjoyment of horseback riding as all other activities, spending the day riding or swimming with the horses is an activity that can be thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Horses, unlike the donkeys and goats that have roamed the island freely for centuries, usually come from Venezuela, approximately 50 miles away.
The Paso Fino
The breed of horse you will find at The Club is the Paso Fino.
The Paso Fino is a spirited breed of horse that is well known in horse circles for having very gentle and comfortable gait and a pleasant disposition.
The Paso Fino makes riding more fun and less work!
The horses never have bits in their mouths, so the ride is as comfortable for them as it is for you.
The temperature and weather patterns are so similar to their home that the horses adapt almost immediately and flourish on the “kunukus”, or horse ranches of the island.
While most horse ranches are working farms, one in particular offers riding as a sport to be enjoyed by all visitors.
Horse Ride and Swim
The Riding Academy Club of Bonaire has some of the best horses to be found the island and invites you to spend some time falling in love with them.

If you are a first time rider, that’s ok.
