Aruba Beach Club Resort and Timeshare

I stayed at the Aruba Beach Club Resort and Timeshare on Eagle Beach and my son stayed at the Marriott Surf Club. Do you know, I prefer the ABC Club to the Marriott anyday. The only thing I did miss at the ABC Timeshare resort was the lazy river. I didn't miss the over two hundred dollar cost per night that the Marriott has to offer.

Don't get me wrong...I love the Marriott and always enjoy staying there. I particularly love the one in St. Kitts, but that is another beach story.

Why did I like the Aruba Beach Club so much? It's a small hotel/timeshare resort on Eagle Beach. It has 131 rooms and two floors. It shares a pool with the Casa del Mar next door. It is painted in orange and greens, it is clean and tropical. Each of the rooms has a kitchenette and a table...and there is a maid service everyday. These lovely ladies do your dishes, clean up your room and are very accommodating.

You can pick up a time share at the ABC Club for 5000.00 vs. the 20,000.00 the Marriott has to offer. So for affordability the ABC Club wins hands down.

The only thing I did not like was when I rented the timeshare for week 44 (in October 2009) the owner didn't tell me about the extra 15.00 per day energy/tax fees. So instead of it costing me 500.00 for the week, it was 575.00. It's not the price I minded at all...it was the omission. So if you decide to stay at the Aruba Beach Club make sure to ask how much the extra fees come to for the week.

You can rent a grill and while I don't like to cook when I am on vacation...when you smell the heavenly aroma of steaks grilling in the evening, you will wish you had thought to rent a grill for at least one night!

Another good tip for an Aruba vacation is to, at least for 1 day, rent a Jeep. It's fun to explore the wild side of the island, but you will need a Jeep or 4 wheel drive vehicle to do it.
